Maria Cid — Founder & Lead Officiant
Maria Cid has 20 years of experience in print, online and broadcast journalism. Maria has earned two Emmy awards, and has won various other journalism awards for her work over the years.
She fell in love with writing at a young age; writing books and studying theater before attending college for print journalism.
Maria began her TV news career more than 15 years ago, and has been trusted by thousands to tell their life stories.
She often emcees events and was a broadcast journalist most recently for CBS in San Francisco. She is now the California Communications Manager, responsible for internal and external communications, for one of the top five largest airlines in the country.
Maria understands how powerful words can be, especially when conveying a couple’s love for one another. She is passionate about the process of getting to know someone in order to tell their story whether through romantic, witty or whimsical words.
Cristina Medina — Vows, Speech Writer & Officiant
Cristina Medina is an ordained minister and vows & speech writer at Vows & Forever. The bridesmaid extraordinaire has over sixteen years of delivering heartfelt wedding speeches.
Cristina graduated with a B.A. in English Literature and was an English middle school teacher. In 2019, she earned an M.F.A. in Poetry and garnered a love for editorial. She currently volunteers for two independent presses.
Her background can lend a creative lens to what you would like to express on your special day. She believes every word is art carefully crafted by an authentic and intimate voice—the essence of love. It is a true honor for her to help those unearth their voice.
