We researched shapewear worn by brides, and found a handful that woman after woman said worked wonders and boosted their confidence in their dream dress.

Honeylove.

When it comes to high compression shapewear that doesn’t roll down when you move, Honeylove is the winner.
Besides shorts, thongs and briefs — Honeylove offers a corset called the “WaistHero Cincher.” The support garment has boning to keep its structure for that much desired hourglass figure.

A reviewer named Misty T. said it made her “feel very very sculpted at the waist.”

Spanx.

Spanx shapewear caters to all body types and dress styles — from plunge wear, low backs, cupped body suits and even catsuits. The line has been worn by celebrities alike, including Oprah, actress and comedian Rebel Wilson and even supermodel Karlie Kloss.

We love Yummie’s high waist shaping thong made of cooling fabric. It works by moving “heat away from the body to keep you cool.” The only cons about this shapewear — that we’ve heard from reviewers — is that certain styles have a tendency to roll down during movement.

Wacoal.

Wacoal’s shapewear line caters to all body sizes, including petite and plus sizes. The company’s web site also offers “Fit Experts” to help brides find which shapewear would be best for their wedding dress.

One reviewer, who bought the Try A Little Slenderness Bodysuit, wrote on Amazon that she “could not believe the amazing fit, comfort and smoothing this garment offers. Perfect for white or sheer clothing and when you just want a bit of support and a smooth line.”

Skims.

Skims offers the widest range of shapewear styles out of all the companies we researched. We noticed the line’s Solution Short right away. It’s made to be worn under a dress with a high slit. Alyssa wore the shorts on her wedding day and described the fabric as “buttery smooth” and said that it held “in much of what I needed to be supported.”
